This enzyme selectively cleaves highly sulfated polysaccharide chains containing 1-4 linkages between N-sulfated glucaoamine and 2-O-sulfated iduronic acid. It cleaves heparin sulfate but only to a limited extent in the sulfated zone. It also cleaves the antithrombin III pentasaccharide unit in the heparin molecule.
Optimum pH 7.0-7.6. Stabilised with 0.2-0.4% BSA (Sigma A4378), 0.22 µm sterile filtered and dispensed into sterile tubes/vials.
